Cem Balta, an aspiring imam, lives in Hanover with his wife Sehra and daughter Hanna. For the family, German culture is just as much a part of their lives as Turkish culture. At least that's what they thought until now. But when they take in Pia, the child of a friend, after a tragedy, they suddenly find themselves confronted with old prejudices.
