Martinique, late nineteenth century. Abandoning the plantation where they work, Hermansia and Tiquitaque, a couple of musicians, settle in Saint-Pierre, but quickly become disillusioned as their career takes off in a little town that is only interested in Western music. Thus begins a long drift during which the couple learns these new sounds, this new music from elsewhere.
