Mami is about to give birth and is busy preparing for her baby. Her husband, Murakami, is an office worker, but suddenly stops coming home. Mami is left feeling anxious about her days. Kubo, who lives in the apartment next door, keeps a watchful eye on her. Kubo is a writer who lost his pregnant wife in a traffic accident, so he has an unusual interest in pregnant women and is strongly drawn to Mami.
