Children of Al-Andalus
A Lost Paradise in Morocco
60 mins
In the Middle Ages, Spain and Portugal fostered a unique model of society. Muslims, Jews and Christians could live together in relative peace for eight centuries. A beautiful Andalusian culture developed in cities such as Córdoba, Toledo, Seville and Granada. Andalusia flourished as the intellectual, cultural and political center of the West. It was a glorious intellectual period for Judaism and Islam that ended tragically.
