About Ivan Svitailo
Ivan Nikolaevich Svitaylo (Russian: Иван Николаевич Свитайло, Ukrainian: Іван Миколайович Світайло, born September 6, 1985 in Yalta, Crimea, USSR) is a Greek-Russian dancer, choreographer and actor. He was born in 1985 in Yalta, Crimea, where he spent his early years. His father is of Russian origin, while his mother is Greek. In 1995, at the age of 10, he settled with his mother in Greece. At the age of 15, he began to dance, taking part in various dance groups with which he participated in various performances. After finishing school, he began his dance studies at the State School of Choreography, the Niki Kontaxakis Higher Professional School of Dance, ballet at the National Opera while he was a scholar of the Onassis Foundation. He began working in the theater as a dancer in 2006. in the 2009 season Strella. In 2008 he settled in the USA where he worked as a dancer and studied acting at the New York Film Academy. He returned to Greece in 2011, starting his collaboration with director Yannis Kakleas in the theater. He became particularly well-known to the general public in 2014 from his appearance on the celebrity music show Just the 2 of us on Mega Channel. There he competed with Elena Tsagkrinou, reaching the final four of the competition. In 2015, he joined the starring cast of the second season of the comedy series Kato Partali, playing Rousso Rousounelos. In 2017, he was a member of the jury of the dance show So you think you can dance, on Ant1. From March 2019 to July 2020, he had one of the leading roles in the daily series Woman Without a Name, on Ant1.[1][2][3][4] He is married to actress Stavriana Garnavou, with whom he has a daughter, Nefeli.
